Timesheet and project time tracking software

Timesheet and project time tracking software your team will actually use

Knowing that someone worked eight hours is useful. Knowing which project those hours went to is what lets you bill clients, price new work and spot overload. JOBOHIVE adds simple timesheets and projects to attendance, with weekly approval and exports your accountant will thank you for.

Why track time against projects

  • Bill clients accurately and defend your invoices with a record of the work.
  • See which projects run over budget before the money is gone.
  • Price future work from real hours, not guesses.
  • Spot overloaded people and idle capacity early.

How timesheets work in JOBOHIVE

  • Create projects with a client, a code, a budget in hours and a billable flag.
  • Staff log time in seconds: the day, the project, what they did, and the hours.
  • Entries are drafts until the person submits the week, so mistakes can be fixed first.
  • Approvers approve entries in bulk, or send them back with a reason the person can read.
  • Nobody can approve their own hours, which keeps the process honest.

Clocked time versus logged time

Attendance tells you how long someone was working. Timesheets tell you what they worked on. JOBOHIVE shows both side by side and reports how much of the clocked time is explained by logged tasks, so you can see whether the picture adds up without nagging anybody.

Approvals, exports and billing

Approved timesheets export to CSV with project, client, task, hours, billable status and who approved, ready for payroll or client invoices. Role permissions decide who can approve, who can see the whole team and who can export.

Projects that stay tidy

Projects with logged time cannot be deleted, only marked inactive, so history stays intact while they disappear from the list people pick from.

Frequently asked questions

Is timesheet tracking included in the price?+

Yes. Timesheets and projects are part of every JOBOHIVE plan.

Can I invoice clients from it?+

JOBOHIVE records and approves billable hours by project and exports them to CSV. You then use those figures in your accounting or invoicing tool.

Can staff edit a timesheet after submitting?+

No. Once submitted, entries are locked while they wait for review. If an approver sends them back, the person can edit and resubmit.

Who can approve timesheets?+

Anyone whose role includes the approve permission, such as managers or HR. People cannot approve their own hours.

Does it track hours automatically?+

Attendance is recorded automatically at clock-in and clock-out. Hours against projects are logged by the person, which keeps them in control of how their time is described.
